Agricultural Commission
The Middleborough Agricultural Commission was created to assist the people of Middleborough with all agricultural issues. Our mission is to promote farmland preservation, assist with livestock issues, encourage agricultural opportunities, and continue farming traditions in our community.

Board of Assessors
The Middleborough Assessors Office provides the following services (and more) to the public: Motor Vehicle and Boat Excise Abatement's, Real Estate Exemptions, Real Estate and Personal Property Abatement's, Tax Deferral Applications and Information, Chapter Land Applications and Information, Charitable Exemption Applications and Information, Property Record Cards, Tax Maps, Owner Information, Assessment Information, and On Site Property Inspections.

Select Board
The Select Board issues: Liquor licenses, Automobile Dealer licenses, Entertainment and Automatic Amusement Device licenses, 2nd Hand Store licenses, Pawnbroker and Junk Dealer licenses, Special Permits within the Water Resource Protection District (WRPD’s), and Earth Removal permits.

Community Preservation Committee
The committee is charged with administering funds raised by the Community Preservation Act (CPA) which was adopted by Middleborough by ballot question in 2010. Funds are raised by a 1% surcharge on property tax and matched at a varying level by the state.

Conservation Commission
The Conservation Commission is charged with the responsibility of protecting wetland resource areas under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act , M.G.L. CH. 131, s.40 and regulations 310 CMR 10.00.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee shall be concerned with all matters involving the finances and financial procedures of the Town of Middleborough, as required by Massachusetts General Laws and the Town Charter. The Committee makes recommendations to the Board of Selectmen and the residents of Middleborough on all financial matters.

Planning Board
The Planning Board's primary responsibility is to administer the Subdivision Control Law pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 41 in order to ensure the public safety, interest and welfare of the residents of the Town of Middleborough.
