Dog Licensing
The Town of Middleborough has and online Dog Licensing program.
Renewals of existing dog licenses may be done online through this program.
If you are renewing your dog license(s) from the previous year, please click here to look up your record(s).
The licensing period applicable to licenses for dogs required to be obtained under G.L.c.140 by an owner or keeper of a dog shall be the time in a year between January 1st and the following December 31st, both dates inclusive. Dog licenses will become available in December at the Middleborough Town Clerk’s Office. The registration period is January 1st through March 31st.
In order to license your dog(s), you will need to provide the following:
1. A copy of a valid rabies certificate and certificate of spaying/neutering.
2a. A fee of $15 per dog if your dog has not been spayed or neutered.
2b. A fee of $10 per dog for a spayed or neutered dog.
A reminder to license your dog will be included as an insert (dog licensing worksheet) with the mailing of the Annual Town Census form. In addition to licensing dogs online, residents may also complete the form and submit payment through the mail or in person c/o Town Clerk’s Office Monday through Friday between 8:45 am and 5:00 pm, 20 Centre Street, 1st Floor, Town Hall Annex - Bank Building, Middleborough, MA 02346.
As a reminder, all dogs must be registered by March 31st. Dogs licensed April 1st - April 30th will be assessed a late fee of $10. Dog licenses not renewed by May 1st are subject to a $50 fine. The late fees shall be in addition to the license fee referenced above.
